Staying at this hotel was like going back to the time of gold seekers. Great building!
I was surprised this kind of hotel belongs to a chain like American Best Value Inn, since it's more a kind of budget boutique hotel with story. Personnel was untrained and unprofesional.
It was just what I was looking for. A lone traveler looking for a place to stop over for the night, I didn't need anything fancy. My room, pretty much big enough for just the bed, had a detached bathroom which didn't bother me (I thought it was charming, in fact) but just a warning to travelers who like comfort.
The air conditioner blasted all night and I woke up freezing. I had to put more clothes on.
Not too much...
Really old and uncomfortable. Didn't even have a fitted sheet on the bed and the windows didn't work and it was 90 outside
Super hot in the summer. My room was on the top floor, with no A/C or a window!!!
Situated in classic Wild West city
A real cottage instead of room built in an old-fashioned style: old- fashioned kitchen & bedroom (gave us a scary feeling), damaged floor, very loud entrance door, small bathroom, cobwebs at the entrance and windows, several small spiders in the room. A strange locked door in the room which led to another cottage. Thin walls, you could understand every single word spoken in the other cottage.
It was a historic building.
It was very run down. The porch swing was broken and covered in cobwebs, the garden was all weeds. I stayed for 4 nights and the sink wasn't cleaned the whole time. The hotel has free internet but I had no signal in my room.
Needs alot of work. Shower didn't work. Looks like they are trying to update but have a way tio go.
they wait until we arrive late, old building "historic place"
poor breakfast, old room, windows view to a wall
heater not functional in room, but extra blankets made sleep ok, since its May
I can not think of anything good to say about this hotel and would not reccommend it at all.
They advertised continental breakfast included, which consisted of coffee and a biscuit, which is not what I expected.I asked about this and the proprieter showed a total lack of regard.
The staff, the room cleanliness
the exterior - old, dirty ; very simple breakfast
It was a cute location. The staff was fairly nice, but I have the feeling there was a cultural barrier.
but the rooms had uncomfortable beds, and forget getting a cot. The rooms are very small.
The bed was really comfortable! The desk personnel were very nice. It needs to be checked out, for a haunting/potergist. One couple from Denmark, after midnite had their dresser droors, opening and shutting, we had a glass window pane over the door, go light, and dark several times, late in the morning, an outside ceiling fan came on, and started making serious noise, I finally got up and checked, after awhile, and it was goiing, more than I have ever seen one go, and some of the lighting had come off and was laying on the floor. After I came back to the room, it finally stiopped. The desk clerk, was very surprised by all.
the room was nice, but was small in the bathroom, bearly could shut,or open the door while trying to use the toilet. I hope no heavy people get this room. The T.V., is too low to look at, needs to higher, it is alomest lower then the bed.
We liked that we stayed in a seperate unit, which was great for privacy purposes.
More parking, nightstands on both sides of the bed, and don't advertise smoking rooms if there isn't any.
The town, the hotel and rooms were charming and old fashioned.
Rudest hotel staff I have ever encountered! I travel constantly for work and know hotels. After paying my bill I mentioned nicely and politely that I was bit disappointed with the lack of hot water for the shower and the clerk was steadfastly unapologetic! He just ignored me. I asked why he isn't apologizing, when that is normal protocol and he turned away and ignored me some more. I was suddenly very upset by this rudeness and demanded an explanation. He said that when I arrived the night before I had said "You said you didn't like the hotel." This was not true and unfathomable to me and my friend! This guy is the worst hotel clerk ever! He should be fired. I would avoid this hotel at all costs.
